Downtown CORE Incentives Are Available

Five new CORE Incentives are available to property and business owners within the Tax Increment Finance District

Medcenter One offers valet parking

Patients and visitors coming to Medcenter One are now greeted at the main entrance by uniformed valet parking attendants who whisk their cars off to a safe parking area and welcome patients and families into the main lobby. Medcenter One is the first hospital in North Dakota to offer this service.

THE DOWNTOWNERS RIP-ROARING RIBFEST ENTERTAINMENT

The Downtown Business Association announces the entertainment at the first annual “Downtowners Rip-Roarin’ Ribfest, it’s a mouthful.” Local, regional and national bands perform from Noon to 11:00pm each day on the Ribfest stage. The Rip-Roarin’ Ribfest runs 11:00am – 11:00pm, June 19-21, 2008 in Lot D of the Bismarck Civic Center.

The Christmas Store located in the Abused Adult Resouce Center's Seeds of Hope Thrift and Gift Store has set sales records for each of the past seven years!

DOWNTOWN HOLIDAY WALK

2008 marks the very first Holiday Walk in Downtown Bismarck. The Holiday Walk will take place on Saturday, November 29th, 2008 from 1-5:00pm.

Lights on Broadway Cancelled.

Due to lack of interest in participation, the Downtowners regrettably cancels the 2008 Lights on Broadway Parade.

Bismarck Building Inspections and Planning and Development Combined as Community Development

Bismarck, N.D. - Effective December 28th, the Planning & Development Department and the Building Inspections Division have been reorganized into the Community Development Department. The new Community Development Department will have two divisions – Building Inspections and Planning – and is overseen by Carl Hokenstad, Director of Community Development.
